Kao Data All Set To Enhance The Footprints Of UK Data Center with 16MW Facility in Slough
The renowned Colocation provider, Kao Data is soon expanding its data center footprint after it recently got whopping funding of £130 million. The company has confirmed that it has already started the building work on its second location in Slough, Berkshire.
CEO of Kao Data, Lee Myall said, “The newly launched Slough data center offers data-intensive enterprises within the highly sought-after West London Availability Zone. The benefit of opportunity of significant capacity is very high with the new slough”.
The 16MW Data Center contributed to the expansion of Kao Data’s platform, which lead to immediate hyper-scale, cloud, and enterprise organizations within west London and the M4 corridor.
The new highly secured, carrier-neutral data center will obey all Kao Data’s pioneering design and sustainability principles, which ultimately provide an energy-efficient home for high-performance colocation.
The facility will provide unmatched scope to customize and create bespoke industrial-scale deployments, becoming NVIDIA GDX-Ready Data Center certified and OCP-Ready.
High-Performance Facility
The new construction will adhere to all Kao Data’s Harlow data center campus’s high-performance architecture, efficiency, and operating blueprint. It will also offer SLA-backed Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2 to the clients.
From the sustainability point of view, the new facility will employ an ultra-efficient cooling system that will completely be driven by renewable energy, with backup power generators that will be fueled by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) from the beginning and will eliminate the fossil fuels usage.
