Stack Infrastructure Establishes First Data Center in Japan

The digital infrastructure partner to the world’s most innovative companies brings critical capacity to one of Japan’s most strategic data center markets. 

STACK Infrastructure (“STACK”), a leading global developer and operator of data centers, issued a statement about the completion of the first faculty on its recent 36MV Tokyo campus located in the Inzai District of Greater Tokyo. To deliver critical digital infrastructure solutions in key hyperscale markets across the globe, this facility is a reflection of STACK’s ardent commitment. This new facility is developed in partnership between IPI Partners and Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., keeping in mind the growing demand for scalable critical capacity in the Asia-Pacific region.

New Campus to Boost Hyperscale Data Center Market 

STACK built a 2.3-hectare campus in Inzai, a district known for its strong hyperscale data center market. There are two buildings, each with an 18MV capacity with advanced security features and are ready for AI technology to meet the needs of global tech companies. The second building, TKY01B, is currently being developed.  

STACK is also planning to build the 80MW Osaka KIX01 campus which will provide important capacity for one of Japan’s digital infrastructure hubs and support growth in the hyperscale sector.  

Community Partnership and Economic Growth 

“Congratulations for the opening of TKY01 project and welcome STACK Infrastructure to Inzai City,” said Kengo Fujishiro, Mayor of Inzai. “We are looking forward to STACK and Inzai City collaborating as partners in developing a better local community and we sincerely hope that this facility will become a new symbol of Inzai, rooted in the local community.” 

The Tokyo campus will help grow technology and uplift the local economy by creating jobs and engaging with the community. STACK and its clients are focused on supporting the social structure of the communities where they work and promoting economic development.  

STACK’s APAC Expansion

STACK helps cloud providers and tech innovators by offering a wide range of solutions across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. In APAC, STACK is growing its presence with important projects outside of Japan. These include MEL01, a 180 MW campus with four buildings in Melbourne, a 28 MW facility in Canberra, and a 48 MW facility in Incheon, Seoul. These developments strengthen STACK’s position in key data center markets in APAC.
