Rubrik Announces Azure-based New Data & Security Ransomware For Enhanced Data Protection

by host-admin December 14, 2021 0 Comment

Rubrik, the Zero Trust Data Security Company, has unveiled the Rubrik Cloud Vault to enable businesses to protect their data and defend against cyber threats.

In a recent announcement, Rubrik revealed it renewed its anti-ransomware protection with support for Amazon Simple Storage Service Object Lock. The Zero Trust Data Security Company has developed its in-house ransomware solution, Rubrik Cloud Vault, built on Microsoft Azure. It is a fully-managed, secure, and isolated cloud archival service aiming at securing customers’ data in no time and defending against cyber-attacks. This new SaaS solution lowers the risks of data modification, deletion, or encryption and is logically air-gapped from users’ production environment to enhance security against ransomware attacks.

In a statement, Dan Roger, President of Rubrik said, “Ransomware attacks pose an increased danger to every business around the world, regardless of the industry.” He further added, “This is a key milestone in our commitment to integrate Rubrik Data Security capabilities with Microsoft to deliver Zero Trust Data Security to global enterprise customers.”

In addition, the Rubrik Cloud Vault also empowers customers to survive cyber-attacks and keep away from ransom payments. To achieve this, the Zero Trust company will manage and secure both immutable and instantly recoverable copies of critical data and isolate them in a cloud location fully managed by itself.

“The combination of immutable backups from Rubrik and immutable object storage from Amazon S3 gives customers a strong foundation for protecting against a range of threats to the integrity of their backup data,” says AWS senior manager, product management for Amazon S3, Paul Meighan.

Clarifying on its integration with Microsoft Azure, the company revealed that it will simplify air-gapping of critical data, enable strong encryption to maintain data privacy, end-to-end data immutability to ensure data is never corrupted, compromised, or maliciously deleted. The Rubrik Vault will implement multi-factor authentication and role-based controls to ensure only authorized users get access to critical business data.

Kyle Rosa, IT Director at University City Housing, said, “In the face of increasingly rising ransomware attacks, we must stay proactive and ensure we have the right solutions and technology partners in our corner.” He further said, “Rubrik Cloud Vault, along with Microsoft, is addressing these ransomware concerns, providing critical data security in a time when businesses need it more than ever.”

Rubrik Cloud Vault will be available worldwide in the coming months on the Azure Marketplace.
