TCS Partners with Google Cloud to Launch AI-Powered Cybersecurity Solutions to Deal with Advanced Threats
Australia is currently facing a surge in cyber threats, with data breaches occurring nearly 50% more frequently in Australian organizations compared to the global average. This rise in cybersecurity incidents, particularly targeting cloud architecture, has affected millions of individuals and highlighted the urgent need for stronger cybersecurity measures.
In response to this growing concern, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to introduce two new cybersecurity solutions aimed at enhancing cyber resilience for enterprises. This collaboration combines TCS’s deep expertise with Google’s cutting-edge technologies to offer more robust security solutions.
The new offerings include the TCS Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution and the TCS Secure Cloud Foundation. The TCS MDR solution uses Google’s Security Operations platform to significantly reduce the time it takes for security teams to detect and respond to threats. By merging Google’s advanced threat detection capabilities with TCS’s industry knowledge, this solution provides continuous security monitoring and a 24/7 response system.
The TCS Secure Cloud Foundation strengthens cloud security posture and governance across single, multi, and hybrid cloud environments using Google Cloud’s security solutions. It embeds security and compliance measures throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle, continuously monitors risks, identifies deviations, and suggests corrective actions using AI, machine learning, and automation.
Ganesa Subramanian, VP and Global Head of the Cybersecurity Business Group at TCS, emphasized the importance of this partnership by saying, “As businesses rapidly transform, securing their digital journey is crucial for growth. The rise of Generative AI further highlights the need to modernize cybersecurity and enhance cyber resilience. This partnership brings together the best capabilities, knowledge, and tools from TCS and Google Cloud to comprehensively protect the digital assets of enterprises, helping them become future-ready and resilient against cyber threats.”
TCS and Google Cloud aim to support businesses in safeguarding their operations and maintaining strong defenses in an increasingly digital world.
This cybersecurity news also conveys that TCS has already put these ideas into practice for a number of customers. For example, the Secure Cloud Foundation has enabled a multinational bank with its headquarters located in Germany to define, automate, and implement more than 800 build-time and runtime security policies, all while guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
“TCS expanded partnership with Google Cloud provides two unique, AI-powered, cross-industry, enterprise solutions—the TCS Managed Detection and Response Solution and the TCS Secure Cloud Foundation—to help our clients combat advanced cybersecurity threats,” said Nidhi Srivastava, vice president and executive champion for Google Cloud at TCS. Our broad portfolio, in-depth understanding of the business, and capacity to grow on Google Cloud allow us to quickly provide value for our clients.
TCS and Google Cloud have worked together for many years to support clients in leveraging the cloud and artificial intelligence to expand and revolutionize their businesses, according to Peter Bailey, vice president and general manager of security operations at Google Cloud.
A logical extension of this collaboration is the incorporation of Google Security Operations into TCS MDR and Secure Cloud Foundation solutions, which allows TCS and its clients to take advantage of planet-level scalability, searchability, integrated and AI-assisted investigation and response workflows, and applied Mandiant Threat Intelligence provided by Google SecOps.
