Motorola and Google Cloud collaborates to bring generative AI to Razr family of smartphones
Motorola and Google Cloud have announced a multiyear partnership to bring generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) to Motorola phones, starting with the new series of Razr Smartphones.
Therefore, Motorola’s flagship Razr 50 ultra clamshell smartphone will be the first phones to get the AI experiences which were launched on Jun 25.
The new feature, named “Moto ai” will be natively integrated across all smartphone applications and developers users an enhance smartphone experience that will utilize the AI models to enable them to complete tasks, produce content, generate images and easily recall information from their personal networks, text messages, write emails, and more.
Also, Moto AI aims to offer context-aware personal and collaborative input throughout the smartphone experience for users – all made possible by Google most advance artificial intelligence,” Added Dan Dery, vice president of AI, ecosystem and internet services at Motorola.
The company said that Moto ai will be present in devices today and can guide with anything from camera to battery and to display and device performance information. Also, Motorola said that the objective was to integrate the new AI experience as natively as possible into the devices so that users will find it’s easy to call up from withing the applications and operating system.
The strategic relationship enables Motorola to utilize AL models from Google Cloud’s Vertex AI cloud-managed service that offers access to Gemini, Google’s flagship artificial intelligence model that allows the contextual.
Google’s flagship artificial intelligence model allows for the contextual and conversational understanding of information, and Imagen a text-to-image producing model. Both companies stated that two special features were added to this partnership: Magic Canvas and Style Sync. Therefore, Magic Canvas is an image creation that lives on the phone. It enables users to turn descriptions from their phone’s look and feel and match them to a user’s style using their camera by matching their outfits and adjusting their wallpapers, icons, themes, and more.
