According to The Information, Jarvis AI prototype was available on the Chrome Web store on Tuesday. The prototype was downloadable but requires access permission. The extension was described as “a helpful companion that surfs the web with you.” Those who have downloaded the prototype of Jarvis AI, before it was pulled out from Chrome Web Store, will not be able to access it without permission.
When will Jarvis AI launch?
This accidental leak has unintentionally confirmed the previous information about Google working on a secret project, codenamed Jarvis AI. As per the report by The Information, Google is planning to unveil its AI agent Jarvis AI in December along with the latest version and updated version of Gemini i.e. Gemini 2.0.
What is Jarvis AI?
Google’s latest update of AI agent, Jarvis is named after Tony stark’s Personal AI “J.A.R.V.I.S.” in marvels. Jarvis AI is expected to allow users to automate their web browsing. It will handle mundane tasks and allow users to focus on other priority tasks. It is a user- friendly tool designed to automate regular web tasks like booking tickets, grocery shopping, etc. This AI directly works with chrome to interpret on-screen elements and determine the search.
Competition
Jarvis AI will face tough competition from Anthropic’s Claude, a similar AI system. It was unveiled in the market last month. Unlike basic tools, Claude has the capabilities that go beyond browser functions, enabling it to type, click, and move the cursor on a computer.
